The Student Journalist
In the fall of 2015, I enrolled at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, as a Radio/TV Broadcasting major. From my first day at Lewis, I was on the air for WLRA 88.1 FM, Lewis's non-commercial educational radio station. After completing my training in radio, I joined Lewis University Television Network News. At LUTN, I served as on-air talent, technical crew, and director. In 2016, I was promoted to run the network as Executive Producer and Director. By the time I earned my bachelor's, I earned Best Election Night Anchor (2016), Best Up and Coming Producer (2016), Best Executive Producer (2017), and the College of Arts and Science's Radio/TV Broadcasting Senior Award (2017). Here are some examples of my work as a student journalist at Lewis.
